Aspettando la primavera/Waiting for spring

Oggi cambiamo completamente argomento e aspettando speranzosa che arrivi presto la primavera, vi propongo dei fiori-spilla fatti all’uncinetto.

Since I can’t stand this gloomy winter weather anymore, today I inaugurate a brand new subject in the hope that it will encourage spring to come quick: crocheted flower-pin.

Per avere un effetto soffice e vaporoso al tatto ho utilizzato la lana mohair sottile. L’indicazione sull’etichetta è per ferri 1-1,5, ma io ho usato un uncinetto 2,5 per ottenere un fiore più ‘arioso’. Anche la lavorazione è piuttosto lasca, il filo va tenuto morbido. Se avete la mano stretta, vi suggerisco di usare un uncinetto di un numero più grande.

For a smooth and fluffy result I use a mohair yarn. The label recommends hook nr. 1.5, but to obtain a ‘airy’ flower I prefer to use a nr. 2.5 hook instead. The work is also loose: the yarn must be flabby. For those of you with a tight hand, I suggest a bigger sized hook.

FIORE
Partite con 90 catenelle, poi proseguite così:
1° giro: 2 maglie alte doppie in ciascuna catenella (sostituite la prima maglia alta doppia con 4 catenelle) = 180 maglie

FLOWER
Foundation chain: 90 chains
Row 1: 2 double treble stitches into each chain (substitute the first double treble with 4 chains) = 180 stitches

2° giro: 2 maglie alte doppie in ciascuna delle prime 65 maglie (sostituite la prima maglia alta doppia con 4 catenelle); 2 maglie alte in ciascuna delle 2 maglie seguenti; 2 mezze maglie alte in ciascuna delle 2 maglie seguenti; 2 maglie basse in ciascuna delle 2 maglie seguenti; 1 maglia bassissima.

Row 2: 2 double treble stitches into each of the first 65 stitches (substitute the first double treble with 4 chains); 2 treble stitches into each of the 2 following stitches; 2 half treble stitches into each of 2 following stitches; 2 double crochet stitches into each of 2 following stitches; 1 slip stitch.

Tagliare il filo e chiudere il lavoro.

Fasten off yarn.

Confezione: arrotolare dal lato più stretto per formare il centro del bocciolo, dando dei punti con ago e filo sul retro.

Wrap everything around to compose the blossom centre starting with the narrowest edge. Do this by sewing it on the back.

FOGLIA
Avviare 14 catenelle, poi proseguire in questo modo:
1° giro: 1 maglia bassa, 3 mezze maglie alte, 3 maglie alte, 2 mezze maglie alte, 2 maglie basse, 1 maglia bassissima. Lavorare 2 catenelle e lavorare il giro di ritorno.
2° giro: partendo dalla seconda catenella lavorare in senso contrario rispetto al giro precedente, includendo il filo di inizio del lavoro.
3° giro: eseguire 1 maglia bassa in ciascuna maglia di base, lavorando 1 catenella in punta.
4° giro: idem come il precedente.


LEAF
Foundation chain: 14 chains
Row 1: 1 double crochet, 3 half treble stitches, 3 treble stitches, 2 half treble stitches, 2 double crochet stitches, 1 slip stitch. Make 2 chains and do the return row.
Row 2: starting from the second stitch, do 1 slip stitch, 2 double crochet stitches, 2 half treble stitches, 3 treble stitches, 3 half treble stitches, 1 double crochet.
Row 3: make 1 slip stitch in each stitch, doing 1 chain on the tip.
Row 4: repeat row 3.

Confezione: realizzare due foglie e cucirle sul retro del fiore.

Make 2 leaves and sew them on the back of the flower.

Cucire una spilla fissandola sulle foglie.

Attach a pin on the leaves.
