Doni creativi / Creative packagings

One of the Christmas side I love most concerns the lots of creative packagings I received from my creative friends - beside the real presents! I'd like to share some of them with you (what remained of them after the assault of my kids : )
Thanks to Morena for the tree box, really perfect; thanks to Elena for the classic photo holder; thanks to Cristina for the snowman little box...

And what about these Sara's funny chickens?!?

And thanks also to Lara, Lucia, Barbara (I'm sorry, your box felt apart!), Annalisa for the beautiful tag (it is vanished... I hope it will appear again after the 6th of Jenuary...)

Un Natale coi fiocchi / Christmas with flakes

What is X-mas without snow? Since we don't have any here in Italy, I cheere me up with some flakes on a card. I watercoloured the background with Distress pads and I made the snowflakes with one of my floral stamp. I coloured them with Sky Blue Chameleon pen.

At last some Styckles Crystal for the ice effect...

Timbri / Stamps: plate Fiori Deco, christmas flourish.

Trittico natalizio / Xmas trinity

When last year my dear friend Laura gave me a beautiful Christmas card (you saw it in this post), I liked the composition so much that I planned to recreate it in some of my cards. Well, here they are! This time without embossing, but with some paper piecing and pencil colouring.

Pole-roid: saluti dal Polo! Christmas Pole-roid!

Got the riddle? I couldn't help it! And Polaroid became Pole-roid : )
I'm next to a psychiatric break down, I know that... but isn't it true that Christmas takes us back to our childhood?

Putting the riddles aside, I wish that this Christmas picture gave you as much the fun as it gave me making it. I masked every characters before stamping the next with Versafine black ink. Then, I embossed them with clear powder and coloured each one with Chameleon pens.

STAR WARS card

Although I was too young to be at the theatre enjoying the first Star Wars movie, I clearly remember the first time I watched the trilogy at the telly: black and white images in a small screen, in an empty kitchen while my parents were watching some sort of tv-show in the other room.
And I don't think that the fact that I married a fan of Lucas is a coincidence either... This card is for him, and this is the perfect day to share it with you.
The idea is not mine; I found some of the characters made with the Stampin up Owl Builder Punch (you can see here on Pinterest lots of ideas) to which I added some more in this pop-up card.

Dani, I cannot thank you enough for giving me this beautiful punch!!

Milano: Artigiano in Fiera 2015

It's done for this year! The Milan artisan 9 days fair is as beautiful as exhausting. It will take at least 4 laundry machines to remove the smell of fried food from my clothes!!
Please find a few shots I took at the fair, I hope I catched the Christmas atmosphere of the event (spearing you the aromas : )

Grazie all'amica Rossella per i buonissimi dolcetti (confezionati splendidamente!).
Thanks to Rossella for the sweety gift (beautifully packaged!).

When I think of Santa's vacation, I picture him on a beautiful beach under a big palm... And when I came across this gorgeous Kay Miller's card, I had no more doubts!

First, I stamped the characters with Versafine black and clear embossing powder, as usual (I stamped more, just in case).

Then, I coloured them with Chameleon pens, adding some light effects with white gel pen on the palm leaves, the penguin's skin and Santa's cheeks.

I die cut every image and let them wait for the next step.

Making this messy background with Distress pad was the funniest part! Technically, I made wrinkle-free background (you can see here the official Tim Holtz's video).

I attached the coloured background on a white card, and over all of them another white card stock with a big hole and a sentiment stamped in black and embossed with clear powder.

Last passage: Santa and friends glued in front of the hole. And a little flower on the penguin head, of course : )

Timbri / Stamps: Babbo mutandoni, Pinguino ballerino, Critters from the past.

Gingerbreads innamorati / Gingerbreads in love

It isn't Christmas without gingerbreads! And what a better way to celebrate it than making a card dedicated to them?

It is perfect to wish a sweet Christmas to someone you love.

For this project, I used a brand new product: the wonderful Gansai Tambi by Kuretake!

They come in 36 colours, very bright, and you can pull up each of them from the package (really beautifull too).

Here you can see all the colours on watercolor card stock.
If heavily dilute, they become light like watercolours wihout being dusty. But if you do not exceed wih water, they remain vivid and half-covering. They are perfect for scrapbooking, too!

Three out of 36 are metallic colours: 1 silver and 2 kinds of gold. They are really brilliant! I tried to show them in this picture although the result is nothing like the reality...
Maybe you have encountered them in other stampers blog, but if you didn't and you are curious to see how they work, you can check this beautiful Jennifer McGuire's video.

If you have relatives, friends or spouse who doesn't know yet what buy you for Christmas, maybe you can give them a little clue... You'll not be disappointed! ^_*

Timbri / Stamps: plate-B-dolcezzeMilk and CookiesBeep Boop Birthday.
