Best Nine 2021

Siamo alla fine dell'anno ed è tempo di bilanci. Creativamente parlando, il 2021 per me è stato un anno stimolante e appagante professionalmente, anche per merito vostro che seguite questo blog,  partecipate ai miei corsi e seguite con entusiasmo i miei progressi.

Natale in famiglia / There's no place like home

Come recita l'adagio, non c'è modo migliore di trascorrere il Natale se non in famiglia. Se poi ci sono le giuste luci a scaldare l'ambiente e i cuori, la magia è completa.

You know, there is no place like home, especially at Christmas. And with the right lights the room and the hearts feel the warmth, and it is pure magic.

Questo progetto mi è venuto in mente appena ho visto la nuova collezione di carte della Cle. Le finestrelle sono perfette per essere illuminate dalle lucine.

The project popped up in my mind as soon I saw this paper of the new Winter Collection by Cle. It's windows are perfect for the tiny lights!

Manca una manciata di giorni a Natale, ma la produzione di card non si ferma!

Questa che vedete in foto è in viaggio... a me piace molto il contrasto tra il tema classico del timbro e lo sfondo acquerellato che ricorda i colori dell'aurora boreale. Spero piaccia anche alla destinataria ^_^

Only a few days to Christmas, and the card making cannot stop!

This card is on its way already... I like the contrast between the classic stamp and the watercolored background so cheerful, like the northern lights. I hope the recipient will like it as well ^_^

Vintage Snowmen

La card che vi mostro oggi è un po' fuori dalle mie corde, ma sapete che mi piace spaziare in diverse direzioni e cambiare prospettiva.

The card I share today is not my usual cup of tea; said that, as you know, I like challenges, and I love shifting my perspectives.

 

Per lo sfondo ho utilizzato un cartoncino acquerellato che conservavo da un po', cui ho aggiunto qualche timbrata, un po' di azzurro sui pupazzi di neve e il Crakle Paint con il tampone Vintage Photo Ink per l'effetto invecchiato.

I used a watercolored background I had in my stash, and added few stamps, a little bit of light blue on the snowmen and blended some Vintage Photo Distress Ink on a Crakle Paint layer to obtain the vintage effect.

Una faticosissima cucitura a macchina (ripresa a mano nel punto in cui si è rotto l'ago - no comment) fa da cornice alla card.

Così è perfetta per partecipare alle sfide di Simon Says Stamp! ^_^

The final step was a very hard sewing (half by machine half by hand when the needle was broken - no comment) to frame the card.

Ready for the Simon Says Stamp challenges! ^_^

In qualsiasi colore lo si declini, il ramo di cotone disegnato da Simona Anghileri per Cigni da Miele è sempre splendido.

Nel candore della neve, poi, sembra perfettamente a suo agio.

No matter what colors you use: the cotton branch designed by Simona Anghileri for Cigni da Miele is always a beauty.

Quando ho visto il tema della nuova sfida del lunedì di Simon Says Stamp non ho resistito. Le ATC mi divertono sempre un sacco, anche se richiedono tanto lavoro per essere così piccine!

When I saw the Monday challenge on SSS blog I just couldn't help it! I always have fun making ATCs, even it they require so much work despite the size!

Questa volta ho scelto la tecnica del mixed media, dando un po' di gesso bianco sulla carta di sfondo prima di stampare e utilizzando del cartoncino che avevo realizzato con il metodo del wrinkled Distress per realizzare le foglioline e alcuni elementi degli animali. L'effetto pelliccia invece è realizzato con la tecnica dell'acquerellatura con il sale grosso. Si capisce che mi sono divertita un sacco, vero? ^_^

I used the mixed media technique: I brushed some white gesso onto the paper before stamping and I cut some elements from paper I colored with wrinkled Distress technique. For the fur effect I used a paper watercolored with salt. As you can easily see, I enjoyed myself a lot ! ^_^

Fai brillare il tuo Natale / Have a very shiny Xmas

Fresco fresco (è proprio il caso di dirlo, vista l'ambientazione), ecco il mio prossimo corso online per Impronte d'Autore! Si intitola "Fai brillare il tuo Natale" perché la card che faremo insieme può diventare un home decor per le Feste grazie alle lucine che si accendono illuminando la lanterna di Nonno Holfo e il cielo stellato alle sue spalle.

A classic Christmas card

Era da un po' che avevo questo sfondo acquerellato e oggi ho deciso di utilizzarlo per questa card. Sono contentissima di come sia venuta! Mi piace molto il suo sapore vintage. L'ho realizzata appositamente per il Simon Say Stamps Monday e Wednesday Challenge.

It's quite a bit I made this watercolored background and this morning I decided to use it for this card. I'm so happy how it turned out! I love it's vintage vibe. I made it for the Simon Say Stamps Monday and Wednesday Challenge.

Ho stampato gli alberi con il Versafine Olympia Green e il sentiment con il Versafine Onyx Black. Quindi ho aggiunto alcune spatolate di Distress Grit Paste Opaque sui rami e qualche goccia di Distress Mica Spray Tarnished Brass qua e là. Una passata di Distress Ink Ground Espresso sfumato lungo i bordi ha creato l'effetto cornice per la card.

I printed the trees stamp with Versafine Olympia Green, and the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black. Then I added few strokes of Distress Grit Paste Opaque on the branches and some drops of Distress Mica Spray Tarnished Brass here and there. A bit of blended Distress Ink Ground Espresso framed all the image.

Un giorno con gli Holfi / A day with Holfs

Le rocker card sono tra le mie preferite! Decorano e fanno un sacco di scena.

Questo modello è analogo a quello che faremo insieme al corso online di sabato 20 novembre "A polar day". La sola differenza è che ho utilizzato il set di timbri Fairy Forest e le fustelle coordinate.

Rocker cards are my fav. They are so scenic!

This model is similar to the one we'll make together the next Saturday, November 20, during the online class. The only difference is the stamp set I used: this one is Fairy Forest with the coordinate dies.

Lo sfondo ruota dal giorno alla notte, come nella card con gli orsi che avete visto qui.

Brand new! Cardmaking class "A polar day"

Ma quanto sono dolci questi orsi?!? Saranno i protagonisti del mio prossimo corso online per Impronte d'Autore sabato 20 novembre.

Il corso si intitola "A polar day", perché questa card dinamica, oltre ad oscillare, passa dal giorno alla notte semplicemente girando la rotella sullo sfondo.

How cute are these polar bears?!? They will be the protagonists of my next online class on November 20.

The title of the class is "A polar day," because in this rocker card you can turn the background from day to night.

Durante il corso vedremo insieme come realizzare la struttura, come sfumare il cielo per l'effetto giorno/notte e come colorare i paffuti protagonisti usando i pennarelli acquerellabili Karin.

In this class we'll make the structure of the card together, we'll blend the sky making the day/night effect, and we'll watercolor these chubby bears by using Karin markers.

Card effetto acquerello / Watercoloring effect card

La card che vi propongo oggi ha come protagonisti fiori e foglie con effetto acquerello.

Today I like to share a card with watercolored flower and leaves.

Per realizzarla sarà sufficiente tamponare la superficie dei timbri con i Distress nei colori che preferite, vaporizzare un po' d'acqua e stampare direttamente sul cartoncino bianco.

To make the watercolor effect you have to dab the stamps by using the Distress pad in your favorite colors. Then spray some water and print them on the white paper.

Potete riprendere alcuni elementi colorando l'interno con gli stessi Distress diluiti. Vi consiglio di lasciarne qualcuno bianco per conferire più luminosità alla composizione.

You can watercolor some of the white spaces by using the same Distress. I suggest to leave a few white to light up the composition.

Tagliate un cerchio di 8,5 cm di diametro dal cartoncino scuro e stampate il sentiment che preferite con il tampone Versamark, quindi embossatelo con la polverina bianca. Una volta scontornate le foglie e la rosa, potete comporre la vostra card sovrapponendo i pezzi con del biadesivo spessorato. Qualche goccia di Nuvo Crystal Drops Sugared Almond e alcune paillette argentate completano il tutto.

Cut a 8,5 cm circle from the dark paper and print the sentiment with Versamark pad; then, emboss it with white powder. Cut out the leaves and the rose and add them to the card base layering them with the foam tape. Some drops of Nuvo Crystal Drops Sugared Almond and few sequins will complete the card.

Distress swatches

Quando mi capita di non avere un progetto definito da portare avanti, ma voglio comunque colorare, preparo degli sfondi oppure delle cartelle colore. Questa è dedicata ai tamponi Distress.

Il formato di queste tag è perfetto per depositare un po' di colore direttamente dal tampone Mini Distress e sfumarlo con il pennello bagnato. Il sistema è ottimo per me che utilizzo spesso questi prodotti per acquerellare!
