È stato un puro caso che mi sia imbattuta nel sito di Jean Mckay (viva Pinterest).

Acquerelli + Natura + Calligrafia = Amore a prima vista. 

Ok, tecnicamente non è un'equazione, perchè manca l'incognita, ma se consideriamo che quando si tratta di acquerelli il risultato ha sempre una parte non definita, dipendente da tante variabili... bè, allora forse non siamo del tutto in errore, no?

Watercolors + Nature + Calligraphy = Love at first sight.

Ok, technically it is not an equation, there is no incognita. But if we consider that watercolors always have a little undefined part, depending by lot of variables... maybe it is not wrong at all. 

In ogni caso, l'effetto che i lavori di questa bravissima artista hanno avuto su di me, è stata una bella iniezione di adrenalinica ispirazione. E così, in men che non si dica, ho recuperato un quaderno rilegato (marca Tiger) e mi sono ritrovata a disegnare la prima piantina che ho trovato in casa. E poi a ripassare il disegno con il pennarello Zig Memory System (fantastico: è sottile e resiste perfettamente all'acqua!).
Anyway, the works of this wonderful artist inspired me a lot. So, I grabbed a copybook (Tiger brand) and started to draw the first plant I saw in the house. Then I traced it with Zig pen (clever: it's thin and perfectly waterproof!).

E infine ad acquerellarla con i Gansai Tambi, sfruttando i pochi sprazzi di sole che hanno fatto capolino in queste giornate tardo invernali.

And eventually, enjoying few sporadic sun rays, I watercolored it with Gansai Tambi.

Lungi da me anche solo il pensiero di paragonarmi alla mia musa, ma devo ammettere che come primo esercizio ritrattistico-naturalistico non mi dispiace. Per una volta ho lasciato da parte i timbri, ogni tanto ci vuole.

Although I am still far away from the perfection of my muse's works, I have to say that my first naturalistic watercolored portray is not so bad. For once I left apart stamps, and sometimes I need it.
