Partecipazioni per il Grande Giorno / Wedding invitations for the Big Day

Il giorno fatidico è arrivato anche per la mia cuginetta! Ci dividono solo sei mesi dalla nascita ed abbiamo trascorso insieme le estati della nostra infanzia e adolescenza: vederla felice ieri è stata una gioia grandissima.

Eventually the Big Day knocked at my cousin's door too! Only 6 months keep our birthdays apart and we spent our childhood and adolescence summers together: seeing her so happy made my day!

La felicità è stata ancora più grande sapendo di poter contribuire a queste nozze con un regalo speciale: le partecipazioni e i segnaposto fatti a mano.

My joy was even bigger when she asked me to hand make the wedding invitations and the table tags.

Per il motivo abbiamo scelto insieme questa ghirlanda a partire da un set di timbri disegnati dalla bravissima Simona Anghileri, timbrati inizialmente su un foglio bianco (anche mediante la tecnica del mirror stamping) per trovare la giusta composizione, e poi scannerizzati e stampati su carta Coriandoli con opacità al 25% per un effetto no line.

We chose together this garland starting from a beautiful stamp set designed by Simona Anghileri. I initially stamped the elements on a white paper sheet to compose the garland (using the mirror stamping technique too), then I scanned the result and printed it on Coriandoli paper with 25% of opacity to obtain the no line effect.

La parte più lunga è stata senza dubbio la colorazione ad acquarello di ciascuno dei 75 frontespizi, ma l'effetto finale con le sfumature tutte differenti è piaciuto molto agli sposi ed è stata questa la soddisfazione maggiore.

Watercoloring each of the 75 front cover was the longer part, but the final result with all different blendings and the spouses approval was worth the effort.
