Ode all'autunno / Autumn celebration

Sometimes, you don't need an occasion, a celebration or a challenge to make a card. Sometimes, you just feel the urge to do it, maybe only for the pleasure to color a stamp, like I felt when I did this card.

It's been a while since I have had this stamp set, it stayed parked until Autumn came and reminded me of it. I won it in a giveaway (yes, it's true, sometimes you win for real!).
I was enchanted by the card Debby Hughes (if you don't know her, go to see her blog!), made with the same set, and thanks to her blog I received this parcel with the set by Colorado Craft Company. (Do you noticed the stamp with the Gruffalo? Simply adorable! And if you don't know him, go and by the illustrated book!).

I printed the stamp with Memento Desert Sand stamp pad on Canson paper and I colored all the elements with Zig Clean Colors. Spaces in this set are so wide that coloring each section was so relaxing.

I used 60, 61, 65 and 72 for acorns; 43 and 44 for leaves. I love no line technique, because lets details emerge like a magic trick...

I added a few tips of brown on the holed leaf.

I colored the last details using Prismacolors pencils.
Then, I cut by hand all the elements and put some on the card. Others are ready for another project.

I used a page of copperplate exercises as background of this card (I know, I know, the q descendants are shorter than usual, but I kept them in this way to have a dense background. Like Nina Tran would say, I had fun to change the ratio to adapt my Copperplate to the project).

Do you make cards just for yourself?
