Benvenuto ottobre! / Welcome October!

Finalmente mi è arrivato questo embossing folder 3D disegnato da Tim Holtz per Sizzix! Scalpitavo per provarlo e devo dire che non ha deluso le mie aspettative. L'effetto è davvero spettacolare ed è bastato seguire il video tutorial di Tim per ottenere il risultato sperato. Come inchiostro ho preferito usare il Versafine invece dell'Archival e ho ritoccato il nero qua e là con un pizzico di Oxide.

Finally I put my hands on this AMAZING 3D Tim Holtz embossing folder! I just couldn't wait and I used it straight away! I followed Tim's instructions to get this spectacular effect. My changes: Versafine ink pad instead Archival one, and I added a few touches of Oxide here and there on the black parts.

Ho fatto una seconda embossata e ho ritagliato un cranio a parte per dare maggiore tridimensionalità al biglietto, aggiungendo anche un dente d'oro grazie ad un tocco di Foundry Wax Gilded.

I embossed a second piece of cardstock and cut off a skull to add more dimension. I made the gold tooth with Gilded Foundry Wax. 

Per la scritta ho semplicemente fustellato uno degli alfabeti di Tim su cartoncino nero e ho sparso qua e là qualche goccia di Distress Mica Stain Fortune Teller (non potete capire quanto brilla dal vivo!).

I used a Tim Holtz die for the Beware black strip, and added few drops of Distress Mica Stain Fortune Teller here and there (it's sooooo shine! I absolutely adore it!).

Ultimo step la cucitura di contorno (su cui devo lavorare parecchio, lo ammetto:). Realizzare questa card è stato divertentissimo, e penso sia il modo perfetto per inaugurare l'arrivo del mese più pauroso dell'anno!

As a last step I sewed the border (ok, I know, I have to work more on that :). I had so much fun making this card and I think it's the perfect way to celebrate the beginning of the spookiest month of the year!
