Equazioni artistiche / Artistic Equations

È stato un puro caso che mi sia imbattuta nel sito di Jean Mckay (viva Pinterest).

Acquerelli + Natura + Calligrafia = Amore a prima vista. 

Ok, tecnicamente non è un'equazione, perchè manca l'incognita, ma se consideriamo che quando si tratta di acquerelli il risultato ha sempre una parte non definita, dipendente da tante variabili... bè, allora forse non siamo del tutto in errore, no?

I came across the Jean Mckay's web site (viva Pinterest) per chance.

Watercolors + Nature + Calligraphy = Love at first sight.

Ok, technically it is not an equation, there is no incognita. But if we consider that watercolors always have a little undefined part, depending by lot of variables... maybe it is not wrong at all. 

In ogni caso, l'effetto che i lavori di questa bravissima artista hanno avuto su di me, è stata una bella iniezione di adrenalinica ispirazione. E così, in men che non si dica, ho recuperato un quaderno rilegato (marca Tiger) e mi sono ritrovata a disegnare la prima piantina che ho trovato in casa. E poi a ripassare il disegno con il pennarello Zig Memory System (fantastico: è sottile e resiste perfettamente all'acqua!).
Anyway, the works of this wonderful artist inspired me a lot. So, I grabbed a copybook (Tiger brand) and started to draw the first plant I saw in the house. Then I traced it with Zig pen (clever: it's thin and perfectly waterproof!).

E infine ad acquerellarla con i Gansai Tambi, sfruttando i pochi sprazzi di sole che hanno fatto capolino in queste giornate tardo invernali.

And eventually, enjoying few sporadic sun rays, I watercolored it with Gansai Tambi.

Lungi da me anche solo il pensiero di paragonarmi alla mia musa, ma devo ammettere che come primo esercizio ritrattistico-naturalistico non mi dispiace. Per una volta ho lasciato da parte i timbri, ogni tanto ci vuole.

Although I am still far away from the perfection of my muse's works, I have to say that my first naturalistic watercolored portray is not so bad. For once I left apart stamps, and sometimes I need it.

Vicenza: Abilmente (primavera 2015) - maglia e uncinetto

La fiera vicentina riserva molto spazio all'arte della maglia e dell'uncinetto ed è sempre un piacere vedere le opere d'arte esposte.

Anche questa volta, vi presento una carrellata di opere, soprattuto dell'atelier crochet & tricot.

The Vicenza fair reserves a big room for crochet and tricot, and admiring such masterpieces on display is a surprise anytime. I introduce you to some of them, especially the ones by crochet & tricot atelier.

Apriamo subito con Wilma Strabello e le visitatrici che ammirano i "frutti" del suo lavoro (scusate, ma non ho proprio resistito al gioco di parole! ^_*).

Bologna: Il Mondo Creativo (autunno 2014)

Ed eccoci all'ultima fiera creativa della stagione. Anche per Bologna vi propongo una piccola carrellata di scatti presi nel corso dei tre giorni di fiera.

Here we are: the last creative fair of the season. Again, even for Bologna, I present you a bunch of shots I took during the three days of the exhibition.

Dei primi vado molto orgogliosa, perché sono riuscita a farmi immortalare in compagnia di Gaia Segattini (alias Vendetta Uncinetta), che avevo mancato alla fiera vicentina. Direi che dalla foto si coglie tutta la sua grinta!

I am very proud of the first two: I finally got a picture with Gaia Segattini (AKA Vendetta Uncinetta). You can see her character popping out from the video, can't you?!

E restando in tema filati, ecco qualche lavoro realizzato con la maglia tubolare: simpatiche queste zucche, vero?

About fabrics now: here there are works made by tubular knitting machine. Nice, don't you think?

Questo è lo scaldacollo che ho realizzato in fiera: prima ho ottenuto un bel gomitolo di tubolare (circa due etti) con il tricottino, poi l'ho lavorato a grana di riso con i ferri n. 25 (avete letto benissimo: proprio n. 25!! ^_^).

And here is the neck warmer I knitted in the stand: I made a tubular yarn (about 200 grams) working with an automatic spool knitter; then, I knitted seed stitch using needles # 25 (yes, 25!! ^_^)

Vi bastano 9 punti, poi lavorate la lunghezza del vostro giro collo e aggiungete un paio di grossi bottoni, e il gioco è fatto!

Nine stitches are enough for the start, then you can procede until you got the length you want, add a couple of big buttons in the end, and voilat, done!

Dai filati allo zucchero filato : )

O meglio, al cake design. La fiera di Bologna, tra quelle dedicate alla creatività, è una delle poche in cui quest'arte è ancora ben rappresentata.
