Segnalibri di settembre / September Bookmarks

L'estate è agli sgoccioli, anche se dalle temperature non si direbbe. Come ringraziamento e saluto alle ragazze che lavorano al Giardino Botanico Rezia di Bormio ho pensato di preparare dei segnalibri a tema botanico. E poi, si sa, i segnalibri non sono mai abbastanza!

Despite the hot temperatures, Summer is ending, it's time to say goodbye to the mountains and go back home. I wanted to do that by making some special bookmarks to thank the local botanical garden Giardino Botanico Rezia girls. As you know, bookmarks are never enough!

Summer is full of colors, everywhere I put my eyes on I can see that. I hope they can inspire you like they did to me.

Una cicala tra le bolle / A cicada amongst bubbles

Oggi voglio condividere con voi una tag che ho preparato per la sfida del lunedì sul blog di Simon Says Stamp a tema volo. È stata l'occasione giusta per usare il timbro di sfondo "Shattered" appena uscito: stupendo! E superversatile.

Today I like to share a tag I made for the Monday Challenge on Simon Says Stamp blog. The theme of this week is "Take flight", and it was perfect for the brand new stamp "Shattered": I love it! It's super versatile!

Ho una preparazione naturalistica, quindi l'entomologia è una materia che amo: visto il tema della sfida questa tag è nata senza pensarci due volte.

I have a naturalistic degree, so entomology is one of my favorite subjects: the challenge theme was perfect for this insects stamp set.

Per realizzare lo sfondo mi sono divertita un sacco creando delle bolle di sapone dopo aver mescolato i colori Distress spray con dell'acqua saponata e trasferendo le bolle sul cartoncino precedentemente sfumato di giallo.

I had so much fun to make the background: I made bubbles mixing Distress spray colors with dish soap and water, then I put the bubbles on the card stock previously blended with yellow Distress pad.

Mentre le bolle erano sulla carta ho aggiunto qui e là delle gocce di colore, per intensificare le linee scure.

I added some drops of colors on the bubbles while they were drying to intensify the dark lines.

Questo è il risultato una volta asciutto il cartoncino.

This is the result of the dry card stock.

Ho intensificato la vignettatura sfumando il Distress nero lungo i bordi e agli angoli, quindi ho lasciato cadere delle gocce di colore viola e arancio per movimentare un po' lo sfondo.

I blended the black Distress ink on the edge and on the corners to focus more on the center of the tag, then I added a few drops of violet and orange.

Infine ho stampato i coleotteri in nero sullo sfondo e la trama del timbro "Shattered", poi embossato in oro.

At last, I printed some bugs and the "Shattered" stamp in black , then I embossed it with gold powder.

La cicala e le etichette attaccate a rilievo con il biadesivo hanno completato il tutto.

The cicada and the labels attached with foam adhesive completed the work.

Un autunno mite / A warm Fall

Quest'autunno mite ci ha regalato un ottobre gradevolissimo per le attività all'aperto, anche in montagna, a Bormio (Valtellina).

Such a warm Fall like this is perfect for outside activities, they're cozy even on the mountains, in Bormio (Valtellina).

Persino il Giardino Botanico di Bormio ha organizzato un'apertura speciale con laboratori, attività per bambini e visite guidate. Bellissimo vedere tanta partecipazione!

Bormio Botanical Garden had an extraordinary opening with workshops, family activities and tours. Seeing so many people attending, simply warmed my heart!
