Io Babbo Natale in vacanza me lo immagino un po' così... Quando ho visto
questo biglietto di Kay Miller, poi, non ho avuto più dubbi!
When I think of Santa's vacation, I picture him on a beautiful beach under a big palm... And when I came across this gorgeous Kay Miller's card, I had no more doubts!
Per prima cosa ho stampato con il Versafine nero tutti i miei soggetti (ero indecisa su come comporre la card, quindi ne ho stampati diversi...). E poi li ho embossati con la polvere clear.
First, I stamped the characters with Versafine black and clear embossing powder, as usual (I stamped more, just in case).
Passo successivo è stato colorarli con i
Chameleon, aggiungendo un pizzico di penna gel bianca per i colpi di luce sulle foglie delle palme, le guance del babbuzzo e il corpo lucido lucido del pinguino.
Then, I coloured them with Chameleon pens, adding some light effects with white gel pen on the palm leaves, the penguin's skin and Santa's cheeks.
Ho ritagliato il tutto e ho messo da parte per dedicarmi allo sfondo.
I die cut every image and let them wait for the next step.
Il "paciugo" con i colori Distress sulla carta d'acquerello è stata la parte più divertente! Tecnicamente l'operazione si chiama "
wrinkle-free" e la potete vedere
qui nel video illustrativo di Tim Holtz.
Making this messy background with Distress pad was the funniest part! Technically, I made wrinkle-free background (you can see here the official Tim Holtz's video).
Dopo aver attaccato il cartoncino acquerellato su un biglietto bianco a due ante, ho aggiunto sopra un altro cartoncino bianco con l'oblò e il sentiment stampato in nero ed embossato.
I attached the coloured background on a white card, and over all of them another white card stock with a big hole and a sentiment stamped in black and embossed with clear powder.
Ultimo passaggio l'applicazione dei soggetti con il biadesivo spessorato, e un fiorellino sul capino del pinguino, che fa tanto vacanza in lidi tropicali : )
Last passage: Santa and friends glued in front of the hole. And a little flower on the penguin head, of course : )
