
Che mia mamma avesse due mani d’oro lo sapevo già, da qualcuno avrò pur preso (compresa la modestia : D), ma quando mi ha presentato questo abito cucito per la nipotina sono rimasta a bocca aperta. Ci ho subito attaccato una delle spille-fiore ad uncinetto e l’ho fatto sfoggiare alla piccola nella visita domenicale alla bisnonna.
I was well aware that my mother was dead skilful, after all I must have inherited my great talent from someone (including humility : D), but when she gave me this little dress that she sewed for her nephew, I found myself speechless. I attached a crocheted flower-pin on the front and dressed my baby for the usual Sunday family-tour.


But guess what! She recycled the velvet from an old skirt! And I love recycling... Unfortunately, she didn’t give me any paper pattern to post, because she use to sew by sight and drawn the outline on a plastic bag... I must convince her to give me sewing lessons someday, because I can hardly turn on the sewing machine she gave me years ago...
