Quando ho visto in rete questo biglietto di Lime Doodle Design, me ne sono letteralmente innamorata, e ho deciso che avrei provato a farne uno simile utilizzando il mio set di timbri.
When I saw this card by Lime Doodle Design in Internet I felt in love and I decided to make a similar one using my new floral set.
Nonostante l'adagio reciti che l'erba del vicino è sempre più verde, devo dire che il risultato mi ha soddisfatta.
Così ho deciso di condividere con voi la tecnica per realizzare questa card.

Despite the proverb says that the grass is always greener on the other side, I'm quite satisfied by the result. That's why I am sharing this tutorial.
Come primo passo, stampate i fiori sulla carta vellum (in alternativa potete usare quella da lucido, ma è un po' troppo leggera) con il tampone Versamark e la polvere da rilievo bianca. Il mio consiglio è di stampare un po' di fiori e decidere dopo il pezzetto da utilizzare per il biglietto.
First: stamp the flowers on the vellum paper using Versamark pad and white embossing powder. I suggest you to stamp first all the flowers and choose later the part of the sheet to cut.
Nella foto qui sopra potete vedere bene il rilievo dato dalla polvere.
In the picture above you can see the white powder relief.
A questo punto girate il foglio e colorate le varie parti con i colori che preferite senza preoccuparvi troppo di colorare anche il bordo bianco (io ho usato i Chameleon, che sono pratici e veloci, a colore pieno, senza sfumare).
Then you have to turn the sheet and color the flower parts as you like (I chose Chameleon pens without shadowing), and don't worry if you color the white contours as well.
Il bello della carta vellum è che non assorbe molto, quindi potete usare i pennarelli nei due colori prescelti e sfumarli tra di loro con un pennello asciutto. In questo modo otterrete un passaggio graduale tra i due colori simile ad un acquerello.
The good of vellum paper is that it doesn't absorb too much color, so you can use two markers and blend them with a dry brush: the effect will be similar to the watercolor.
Una volta riempiti tutti gli spazi, il risultato che otterrete sarà simile a quello sopra: una coloritura piuttosto intensa.
This is the result with all the flower elements painted: the color is quite intense.
Se però girate il foglio al dritto vedrete che il colore risulta più tenue e perfettamente contenuto entro i bordi bianchi.
But when you turn the sheet, the color turns softer and perfectly contained by the white contours.
Ora non vi resta che tagliare il pezzo che vi piace di più, stampare il messaggio nello spazio vuoto e montarlo sul cartoncino: io ho scelto di cucirlo col filo di cotone bianco su un cartoncino salmone chiaro.
At this point, you can cut the piece you like more, stamp the sentiment in the empty space and attach it to the card stock: I chose to sew it on a light salmon one.
Come tocco finale, qualche strass, mezze perle e una passata di Wink of Stella trasparente sui fiori.
As final touch, some strass, half pearls and some sparkles of Wink of Stella clear on the flowers.
