Di nuovo un biglietto con i fiori come protagonisti, ma questa volta realizzato da me.
Per lo sfondo ho usato questa fustella da embossing della Sizzix, molto delicata.
A card with flowers, again! This time, though, it's one of mine.
I used this Sizzix embossing folder to make the backgound.

Azzurro acqua e marrone è un accostamento di colori che mi piace molto e non mi stanca mai.
I love mixing azure aqua and brown, the result never gets me weary.

Il bello di avere amiche stamper è che alle feste e ai compleanni ricevo dei biglietti fantastici.

Questo è di Laura, amica storica che -già lo sapete- adora i fiori.

Having stampers friends is cool 'cause you always get wonderful cards.

Laura created this one for my birthday: she loves flowers, you know that already.

E questo è il lato interno del biglietto, con i fiori che si intravedono dall'oblò all'esterno.

This mouse is so sweet!

E i regali? Bè, 40 è un numero di tutto rispetto. Però 132 mi è sembrato più azzeccato per questa meravigliosa scatola di pastelli regalatami dal mio adorato maritino.

Presents: well, 40 is a respectable number. But I think that 132 suits this amazing pencils box better. I received it by my lovely husband.

E' arrivata fresca fresca dagli Stati Uniti (da notare il bozzo in basso a sinistra dovuto al trasporto).

It just landed from the States (you can see it by the bumped side on the left made by the delivery service).

Ora ho dei bellissimi giocattoli nuovi con cui divertirmi : )

Now I can have lots and lots of fun with my new toys : )

Non sono l'unica ad aver festeggiato gli anni da poco: la cara amica Laura mi ha fatto compagnia, anche se lei è ancora nel club degli 'enta. E dato che ama molto i fiori...

I didn't celebrate alone in these days: my dear friend Laura joins me, though she is still in the 30s club. And because she loves flowers so much...

... questo è il biglietto che le ho dedicato (ispirandomi a questo qui).

... this is the card I dedicated to her (I got the idea here).

Anche i colori sono quelli che preferisce. Questa volta per riempire le campiture ho usato gli Ecoline, acquarelli liquidi molto luminosi.

I chose colours she loves. This time I used Ecoline to fill the print, liquid watercolours very bright.

La parte più divertente è stato intagliare tutti i pezzi.
The fun part consisted in carving all the pieces.

Ero partita con il fiore grande, poi mi pareva che mancasse qualcosa...

I started doing the big flower, but something was still missing...

... ovviamente ci voleva anche la foglia!

... a flower needs a leaf, of course!

E per riempire i vuoti tra un fiore e l'altro?

But I needed also something to fill in the empty space between the big flowers.

 

Altri due fiori, naturalmente.

So I added two small flowers.

Alla fine avevo deciso anche il regalo di compleanno.
By the end, I found the perfect gift.

Confezione perfetta la scatolina fustellata con questa dima della Sizzix (l'avete già vista qui e qui).

And the perfect pakaging was the box cutted with this Sizzix die (you saw it yet here and here).

Non vedo l'ora di vedere cosa creerà Laura con questo nuovo set floreale : )

I can wait to see whatever Laura will be able to do with her new flowery set : )

Auguri in volo / Flying wishes

Per l'ultimo compleanno del maritozzo ho scelto questa coppia di mongolfiere tridimensionali.
I chose this couple of 3D balloons for my hubby's last birthday.

Mi piaceva anche tanto l'idea di metterci le nuvolette, così mi sono ispirata ad un biglietto pescato in rete (mi spiace, ma non riesco più a ritrovarlo!), utilizzando gli stessi colori.

I liked the idea of the clouds, so I took inspiration from a card I found on the web (I'm sorry, but I can't find the source anymore!), using the same colours.

Tocco personale, lo sfondo scritto in azzurro, ad arricchire il cielo.

My personal touch: the writings on the sky, in the background.

Amici per la pelle / Best friends

Mentre Agata disegnava le sue spille per le maestre, mi sono messa a pasticciare su un foglio opalino...

While my doughter was drawing the pins for her teachers, I doodled on an opal sheet...

Ultimamente lavorare con il polyshrink mi prende un po' la mano...
Lately, polyshrink really keeps my hand in it...

Quest'altro teschietto l'ho montato su una catenella d'argento, abbinato ad un 'contrappeso' di due perline piatte opaline.

I choose to combine this little skull with a silver chain and two opal flat beads.

Che ne dite: non è forse perfetto in abbinamento ai miei nuovi capelli viola? ^___^

Doesn't it suit perfectly my brand new violet hair? ^___^

Regalo alle maestre / Teachers' gift

La fine dell'anno scolastico è alle porte. La mela, si sa, è uno dei temi principali per i biglietti alle maestre.

Il messaggio, invece, è frutto (passatemi il gioco di parole) dei nostri pensieri, ed è semplicemente stampata con una stampante laser.

The end of the school year is approaching. As far as stamping is concerned, the apple is perhaps the favourite teacher's theme.

The sentiment ('Who cultivates own passions, will pick always firstlings'), though, is a fruit (please indulge me with this) of our own garden, a trivial print by a laser jet.

E il regalo? Cosa donare alle maestre che resti di ricordo ma che sia anche originale?
