Chameleon pens e DCWV

Oggi post in collaborazione con Chameleon e DCWV. Sono tanti anni ormai che uso le carte di questa compagnia, e devo dire che gli ultimi prodotti sono davvero belli!

Today's project is the result of a cooperation between Chameleon pens and DCWV. I have been using the papers of this brand for years, and the last products are beautiful!

Quello da cui sono partita per il progetto odierno è la confezione con le card stampate in oro e il mini set di acquerelli incluso.

I started the project by DCWV pack with gold foil cards and the watercolors set included.

Per prima cosa ho dato un'acquerellatura leggera alla card che ho scelto (preventivamente fissata ad un vassoietto con lo scotch per evitare che si arricciasse). Ho distribuito i colori cercando di immaginare le tonalità con cui avrei colorato i fiori.

First, I fixed the card onto a base and watercolored it with light colors.

Lasciato asciugare bene lo sfondo, ho colorato prima le foglie con il Chameleon Spring Meadow, poi i fiori con il Purple Grape. Il comportamento del colore non è stato lo stesso in tutti i punti, visto che sotto c'era già l'acquerello, ma il risultato mi è piaciuto comunque.

I let it dry, then I colored the leaves with Spring Meadow Chameleon pen and the flowers with Purple Grape. The effects were unpredictable, because of the watercolors on the background.

Per ultimo ho colorato col Crimson Red i tulipani e i cuori, e con il Warm Sunset e il Seville Orange gli ultimi fiorellini e le bacche.

Then, I colored tulips and hearts with Crimson Red and the small flowers and cherries with Warm Sunset and Seville Orange.

Per completare la card, ho preparato due banner con il sentiment embossato in bianco, ho ritagliato la scritta Happy in cartoncino dorato e ho aggiunto qualche giro di filo da ricamo dorato sul banner più corto.

To finish che card, I cut a couple of banners stamping on them the white embossed sentiments. The Happy word was cut using the die from a gold card stock. I added a golden thread to the smaller banner.

Prima di assemblare la card ho ravvivato un po' i colori di fondo e, infine, ho aggiunto qualche mezza perla bianca al centro dei fiori.
Before assembling the card, I added watercolors to the background and some half pearls to the center of the flowers.

L'effetto dell'oro si nota solo con la giusta illuminazione.

The gold foil effect is visible only under the right light...

Card natalizia con DMC / Christmas card by DMC

Oggi post in collaborazione con DMC, con questa card natalizia (la prima della stagione!) in cui ho utilizzato due matassine di moulinè per i fiocchi di neve sullo sfondo e la sciarpa del coniglietto. Questa è realizzata ad uncinetto n. 1,5 a punto tunisi.
Buon 270° compleanno a DMC! ^_^

Today, a Christmas card (the first of the season!) with stamping technique mixed up with embroidery and crocheting with DMC yarns. I used the blue one for the background snowflakes and the gray one for the bunny's scarf (I crocheted it with Tunisian stitch and hook 1.5). You can also find DMC news on FB.

Oggi post tecnico in cui mi sono divertita ad usare i pennarelli Chameleon pasticciando un po' per creare questo sfondo marmorizzato.

I love messing up with colors, even better when the results are unexpected! The marbling technique is perfect for unpredictable beautiful effects.

World Card Making Day 2016

Oggi è il World Card Making Day! Per celebrarlo, ho scelto di realizzare un biglietto con uno sfondo floreale, perché i fiori riempiono la nostra vita di gioia e gentilezza. Ho usato la tecnica della coloritura senza bordo proprio per rendere il loro aspetto delicato.

To celebrate the World Card Making Day, I chose to make a flower background, because flowers fill our life with joy and kindness. I use the no-line coloring technique to highlight their gently appearance.

Mi piace mischiare gli stili e usare materiali diversi. In questa tag ho unito l'effetto rustico del legno con quello delicato e femminile dei fiori e il risultato mi piace molto.

ATC di settembre / September ATC

In questi ultimi giorni d'estate i nostri pensieri (il mio e quello delle amiche stampers Dani e Laura) sono ancora pieni di fiori e colori, come potete vedere dalle ATC che ci siamo scambiate nell'ultimo incontro. Nella mia avrete sicuramente notato la somiglianza con la card dell'ultimo post... Che dire: questo timbro di Altenew mi piace un sacco!

In these last summer days my friends' (Dani e Laura's) thoughts and mine are still full of flowers and colors, as you can see from the ATC we shared at our last meeting. You certainly notice that I used the same stamp I put in my last post: what can I say... I love this Altenew set!

Card vintage con Chameleon e Altenew / Vintage card with Chameleon and Altenew

La card che vi propongo oggi ha un sapore classico e ad ispirarla è stata la bellissima frase di Romano Battaglia che accompagna i disegni stampati. Per realizzarla vi bastano pochissimi materiali: li trovate in elenco a fondo post.

Today I like to show you how to make this classical card using only a bunch of materials. The beautiful sentiment by Romano Battaglia, Italian writer, inspired this card (it says "Count the flowers of your garden, never the falling leaves").

Per prima cosa stampate il fiore del set Altenew con il Versafine Vintage Sepia, poi iniziate a colorare i petali più piccoli con il pennarello Chameleon Fawn diluendo il colore per 4-5 secondi. Quindi passate a colorare i petali più grandi in due step: dal centro all'esterno, diluendo ogni volta il colore per 9-10 secondi. Completate aggiungendo le ombre per dare profondità al fiore. Infine, colorate il centro con il pennarello Warm Sunset e aggiungete un puntino di penna gel bianca su ciascuno stame. Ritagliate il fiore lasciando un margine bianco di 1 mm.

The first step is stamping the Altenew flower with the Versafine Vintage Sepia, then coloring the smaller petals with the Chameleon pen Fawn, infusing the brush nib for 4-5 seconds. This done, color the bigger petals in two steps: from the middle to the margin, infusing each time the brush nib for 9-10 seconds. Add shadows with pure color and fill the floral center with Warm Sunset. Add a white dot on each stamen with the gel pen. Cut out the flower leaving 1mm of white margin.

Sempre con lo stesso inchiostro, stampate il rametto di foglie più volte, in modo da creare uno sfondo. Colorate ogni foglia in due step con il pennarello Olive Green, diluendo il colore per 9-10 secondi dal centro verso il margine. Completate con le ombre diluendo a più riprese per 3-4 secondi il pennarello Cool Gray. Tagliate il foglio in dimensione 14,5 x 14,5 cm.

Stamp the leaf branch repeatedly with the Vintage Sepia ink pad, to create a background. Color each leaf in two steps with the Olive Green pen, infusing the brush nib for 9-10 seconds from the middle to the border. Add shadows with Cool Gray pen, infusing the bullet nib for 3-4 seconds many times along the leaves margins. Trim the background panel at 53/4" x 53/4".

Preparate due pezzetti di cartoncino tagliandone un'estremità con la fustella ad onda impunturata. Rifilateli in modo che si sovrappongano perfettamente al cartoncino di fondo con le foglie. Su quello più grande stampate la frase di Battaglia usando il Versafine Vintage Sepia.

Cut two pieces of white card using the Stitched Hillside Borders die with the same width as the background base. Stamp the sentiment with the Vintage Sepia onto the bigger one.

Componete la card incollando lo sfondo su un biglietto a due ante, e i pannelli allo sfondo con il biadesivo spessorato. Usate lo stesso biadesivo per attaccare il fiore sul pannello con la frase stampata.

Compose the card using the foam glue dots to attach the flower onto the frontal panel and to attach both the panels to the background with leaves.

Materials: Chameleon pens: Warm Sunset (YO3), Olive Green (OL3), Fawn (NU3), Cool Gray (CG8); A Beautiful Day stamp set (Altenew), 1802-Plate-A-Un fiore vale (Impronte d'Autore); Neenah Solar White card; Versafine Vintage Sepia ink pad; Stitched Hillside Borders (Lawn Cuts); White gel pen; Glue Foam Dots.

Lo sapete, non sono una grande scrapper. Non perché non ami lo scrapbooking, anzi. La pagina vuota mi intimidisce, tutto lì... Però quando ho visto questo timbro Penny Black, mi sono detta "Ecco la mia Agata col suo coniglietto di peluche!!". E questa pagina è nata da sola.

I'm not a great scrapbooker, the empty page makes me uncomfortable. But when I put my eyes on this cute stamp, I saw my little girl with her favorite cuddly toy! That's how this page was born.
