Gita fuori porta/Outdoor journey

Nonostante il clima non sia stato dei migliori, la mia gita fuori porta di domenica è stata una delle più esaltanti degli ultimi tempi! Pullman organizzato dal Filo di Arianna con destinazione la sede di Stamperia, dove si è tenuta la giornata a Porte Aperte per la stagione 2012.

Despite the weather, my sunday outdoor journey was amazing! Filo di Arianna bus took me to the Stamperia building in Torino, where we joined the Porte Aperte 2012 day.

Assieme ad un badge col nome, un kit di lavoro (grembiule, astuccio, borsa e opuscoli vari), ci siamo trovati in mano questo nutrito programma... E subito siamo partiti col primo progetto: vaso in mdf decorato con le paste rilievo. 

Here, we recived a badge, a kit (apron, pencil case, bag and booklet), and this program... And we start  at once with the first course: wooden vase painted with 3D paste color.

 

Una mano di fondo con il colore acrilico marrone...

One layer with brown colour...

... la mascheratura con lo scotch di carta per decorare i due lati con delle strisce arancio e gialle...

... the tape masking...

... e poi lo stencil con la pasta rilievo granulare color bronzo...

... and then the stencil with 3D bronze granular paste...

 ... e come ultimo passaggio il fiore spatolato in tre colori.

... and, as the last step, the flower made with broad knife.

Ecco il risultato di tanta fatica ad asciugare sul davanzale.

E' un'esperienza che consiglio a tutti, soprattutto se siete incuriositi di sperimentare tnuove ecniche e materiali e non vi spaventa il lavoro a ritmo serrato!

This was a wonderful experience I invite everyone to do, expecially if you are interested in new techniques and materials and you are not scared by the quickly work!

Corso di PolyShrink/Workshop

Ok, non resisto a tenervi sulle spine... eccovi svelato il materiale con cui sto pasticciando in questi giorni: il polyshrink! Qualcuno aveva già indovinato : )

Ok, I cannot bear the suspense... this is the material I'm working on in this days: polyshrink!

Per chi invece non lo conoscesse, è una plastica venduta in fogli che si restringe quasi della metà se sottoposta a calore (forno o embosser che sia). Potete leggere altre informazioni a riguardo qui e qui.

In questi ultimi giorni mi ci ho giocato un sacco! Mi sono divertita a stamparlo, colorarlo coi pastelli, fustellarlo...

It's all about plastic sheets in 4 colours that shrink in half when heated (in the oven or by an embosser).

In the last days I had so much fun with it! I stamped it, coloured by pencils, cut with dies...

E' perfetto per creare dei charm originali sui biglietti, o dei chiudipacco per le bomboniere. Ma anche bijoux personalizzati, come bracciali, anelli, ciondoli e orecchini.

It is perfect for card charms or tags for bonbonnièr.
It is also perfect to create specific bijoux like bracelets, rings, pendants and earrings.

E anche Agata non è stata certo a guardare... il suo omino è decisamente il pezzo migliore! E ne abbiamo fatto una bella spilla che sfoggio sulla mia giacca : )

Even Agata could not help being involved... the little man she draw is the best piece! And now he is a pin on my jacket : )

Ancora fiera di Vicenza/Vicenza fair again

Pensavate che avessi finito di parlare della fiera di Vicenza, eh?
E invece no! Vi assicuro che è impossibile riuscire a raccontare in pochi post le meraviglie che si possono ammirare realizzate in tantissime tecniche diverse...
I lavori che vi mostro oggi sono frutto delle dimostratrici di Stamperia.

You didn't think I had exhausted all the arguments about Vicenza, did you?!
I can guarantee that it is impossible to summarize all the wonderfull things I saw at Vicenza fair in a few posts...
The works I am about to show have been made by the experienced stuff of Stamperia.

Questa scatola con effetto anticato è rivestita da una cartina geografica indurita e delle conchiglie in resina...

This box has been made antique by covering it with a hardened geographic paper and some resin shells...

Molto suggestive queste pieghe solidificate, vero?
How suggestive are these hardened folds!?

Questo invece è un particolare di un quadro: una piccola tela tonda decoupata con effetto craquele (mi colpiscono molto gli oggetti antichizzati, ormai lo avrete capito : )

This is a detail from a picture: a little rounded canvas decorated with deoupage and craquele effect (I love antique objects, you already got it :)

E un'altra tecnica che mi piace molto è la lavorazione delle paste (sintetiche o di zucchero che siano). Questi folletti floreali sono opera di Simona: io li trovo a dir poco deliziosi!

Still another of my favourite tecnique requires the moulding of synthetic or sugar paste. Those flourish elves made by Simona are really cute!

E dulcis in fundo, ecco un vaso rivestito di fiori in pasta sintetica, opera di Marianna Magarelli, una delle vincitrici del concorso Hobby Donna 'Protagoniste della Creatività' del 2011.
Meritatamente, aggiungerei.

And in the end, here there is a vase covered by synthetic flowers, made by Marianna Magarelli, one of the winners of 2011 Hobby Donna 'Protagoniste della Creatività' contest.
Well deserved, I think.

Una cosa che mi piace della fiera di Vicenza è la possibilità di ammirare da vicino le opere delle artiste che preferisco. Una di queste sicuramente è Luisa De Santi, in arte Crochetdoll. Le sue opere all'uncinetto sono davvero uniche e di grande ispirazione.

Something I really like of the fair of Vicenza is that I can get in touch with the works of the artists I like more. One of them is certainly Luisa De Santi (Crochetdoll). Her crochet works are really unique and inspiring.

Per l'edizione primaverile di Abilmente si è dedicata alla sposa e ai suoi accessori. Ecco alcuni dei suoi capolavori presenti all'Atelier della Sposa Creativa (potete vederne le fasi della preparazione nei post dedicati sul suo blog: vegan&normal).

Una piacevole sorpresa è stato invece scoprire che questi abiti candidi sono stati fatti con la pellicola alimentare!! Quella con cui litigo abitualmente quando devo surgelare qualche avanzo...

A pleasant surprise was discovering that those beautuful bride dresses were made of domopak!! The same thing I fight with when I have to freeze my leftovers...

L'autrice portentosa di questo riciclo estremo è Simona Girelli, e direi che di fantasia ne ha da vendere!

The amazing author of this extreme recyling is Simona Girelli, and I think she shows a surplus of fantasy!

Guardate qui come ha trasformato la pellicola e la carta stagnola dell'incarto dei panettoni!!
Roba da rinunciare alla dieta : )
